There has been a story rattling around in my head for years. Ever since my niece was about two. She couldn't say the "p" sound and so, many things in her world got interesting nicknames. On her daily ride to the babysitter's house, she would see a prairie dog town. These little critters soon became "fairy dogs" to the rest of us. She was the first prairie princess and the arrival of my two girls made a trio.
The "fairy dog" stories have been in my head for a few years. I am hoping to get my ideas "on paper" so that I can solidify them and maybe, someday, publish them as a book.
